Hi, I’m Claudine!

I’m a double board-certified physician in Occupational Medicine in Lifestyle Medicine.  I’m also a Board Certified Coach and a Feminine Embodiment Coach.  

My zone of genius is helping women physicians thrive in their personal and professional lives.  

Women in medicine are disproportionately affected by stress, overwhelm and burnout. 

I experienced severe burnout in the past but I discovered life coaching in 2013.  Coaching helped me to gain clarity, create better boundaries with everyone in my life, become unapologetic about self-care, overcome imposter syndrome and stop feeling the need to prove myself.

I created Beyond Burnout to empower other women physicians with the tools to permanently recover from burnout (instead of just cope with the symptoms).

does life coaching really work?

As a health care provider, I know evidence-based practices are important to you so you’re probably wondering: does coaching really work?! According to a 6-month randomized controlled trial of 88 physicians (48 women and 40 men) published in JAMA, there were multiple statistically significant benefits seen from a physician coaching program:

Emotional exhaustion decreased by a mean (SD) of 5.2 (8.7) points in the intervention group compared with an increase of 1.5 (7.7) points in the control group by the end of the study (P < .001).

• Absolute rates of high emotional exhaustion at 5 months decreased by 19.5% in the intervention group and increased by 9.8% in the control group (−29.3% [95% CI, −34.0% to −24.6%]) (P < .001).

• Absolute rates of overall burnout at 5 months also decreased by 17.1% in the intervention group and increased by 4.9% in the control group (−22.0% [95% CI, −25.2% to −18.7%]) (P < .001).

Quality of life improved by a mean (SD) of 1.2 (2.5) points in the intervention group compared with 0.1 (1.7) points in the control group (1.1 points [95% CI, 0.04-2.1 points]) (P = .005).

Resilience scores improved by a mean (SD) of 1.3 (5.2) points in the intervention group compared with 0.6 (4.0) points in the control group (0.7 points [95% CI, 0.0-3.0 points]) (P = .04).

Is Beyond Burnout right for me?

If you’re a woman physician who is struggling with overwhelm, chronic stress, physical symptoms that no one has been able to diagnose, etc., then I’m confident that the tools and resources in this program can help you. If you’ve already tried reading self-help books, therapy, spiritual direction, etc. and you’ve made some progress but you’re still not “there”, I can say without a doubt that this is most likely the missing piece.

How is Beyond Burnout™ different from any other programs?

This program is a bottom-up approach to burnout recovery that is based on my integrative coaching methodology: feminine embodiment, embodied thought work, subconscious mind renewal, nervous system regulation, and somatic parts work. There is NO other program for women physicians that includes ALL of these elements. I know this because I've spent thousands of dollars on my own journey as a client and as a coach.

How long will it take to recover from burnout?

The truth is burnout is the outcome of deeper issues and it has taken you YEARS to develop these habits that predispose you to burnout. So it will take time to reverse it. Now, everyone is different so I can't give you an exact timeline but my clients experience immediate shifts within the first 2-3 weeks of working together and deeper shifts by 6-8 weeks. But more importantly, this work is an investment that pays dividends over the course of your life. The return on investment is infinite because you can't unlearn this information once you learn it. With the right support and strategy, you can significantly accelerate the healing process by years, instead of going at it alone.

How big will the group be?

This will be a group program for like-minded women physicians just like you. The group will be capped at 10 members so the group feels safe and intimate, and to allow ample time for coaching on the group calls.

Is group coaching as effective as 1:1?

I’ve participated in both 1:1 and group coaching. Honestly, I’ve had some of my biggest transformations from allowing myself to be seen and coached in a safe space as well as watching others get coached. Someone usually asks a question that I’m afraid to ask OR that I didn’t even know I had! 

When are the live calls?

Calls for Beyond Burnout will generally take place on Wednesdays at 8pm EST and Saturdays at 11am EST to accommodate different time zones. All calls will be recorded and you can submit questions in advance if you cannot make a live call. We will kick off October 2023!

Will this take a lot of time?

I created this program to integrate really well into your current life. You can work at your own pace, but I recommend you find 1-2 hours each week to get the most out of the program. One new module will be released each to give you the space you need to reflect and complete the worksheets. There are daily and weekly worksheets. The NEUROFIT App will take 5 minutes per day. The weekly calls are 90-minutes each. If you fall behind, that's okay! I trust you will get exactly what you need during this program and I'm here to help you get back on track. It is important that you apply what you're learning every day so for the best (and fastest) results, I recommend taking small actions each day.
